Freelance web design or web application development is good to earn extra income for you, but it has various adverse effects on the Indian economy. The following effects can ruin India from various aspects.
1. Freelance web designers are freelancers, so they charge very cheap rates for web design; this lowers market rates for the same job. Web application development companies cannot beat the rates offered by freelancers. Ultimately, a new company could die prematurely or not survive any longer. The county loses a business unit and business development stops.
2. Freelancers work on projects to earn additional income, but are not interested in paying taxes for it, so they request payment through various alternative methods, such methods are cash payments. Freelancers do not pay taxes on cash income. Country like India loses income tax, if it had been a web development company, it would have paid income tax.
3. An individual web developer works for money and not for reputation, so if the client’s web application project fails, he is not responsible, but the receiving client has a bad impression of the Indian web development industry. Sometimes foreign clients never come back due to a bad experience with freelance web developers.
4. Many freelance web developers don’t even have experience when they start serving overseas clients. The client believes that India is very cheap so the project is assigned to inexperienced freelancers.
