Rapidly boosting Australian tourism

The tourism industry is one of the main contributors to the Australian GDP and is constantly increasing its market share. Since the last two decades, Australian tourism, especially international tourism, has been growing every year. So let’s break down how and why this country has been attracting fans from all over the world.

A visa is definitely required to enter this tourist paradise, but not if you are a New Zealander. Travelers need a full visa. However, few OECD passport holders and people from some East Asian countries can apply through a simple procedure adopted by the Electronic Travel Authority.

Along with the presence of beautiful scenery and exciting adventure opportunities, the government has also gone to great lengths to promote Australian tourism. Many commercials are published in all corners of the world highlighting Australia’s attractions. Few publicity activities are also based on the relaxed attitude of the country. And few campaigns are also influenced by his bold and brazen behavior.

This country makes sure that many advertisements are published every year in most countries of the world because Australian tourism is a major contributor to its GDP.

People from many countries visit this island. However, there are few countries that primarily contribute to the growth of the Australian industry. The top ten countries from which people visit this island are: New Zealand, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, China, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Germany.

Although it is difficult to differentiate between the number of people who visit Australia for business meetings and for tourist activities, it is safe to say that the former is greater than the latter.

It has been noted that Japanese travelers make up a unique and extensive part of the Australian tourism industry. These tourists visit Australia specifically to witness the magnificence of iconic places like the Gold Coast, Cairns, Sydney and Uluru. Once again, almost every tourist’s agenda involves exploring the country’s wildlife, especially the koala.

Another major contributor to this industry is the backpacker population. This group of people are young and mostly from North America and Western European countries. These travelers spend much more time in Australia than any other tourist. Many of these backpackers visit this country on a work-holiday visa that allows them to spend more time in the country. This visa is for people in the age group of 18 to 30 years, who like to work and spend a year in Australia.

It may also be a misnomer to say that Australian tourism is entirely driven by international tourists. Australians are very interested in travel, especially within the country. And why would anyone want to travel to other countries when Australia itself is extraordinarily beautiful, with white-sand beaches, abundant national parks, and daring adventures?
