3. Cleanse with astringents – Clean oily spots on your face by rubbing alcohol or a combination of alcohol and acetone that helps to degrease your oily skin. Many pharmacies even sell individually wrapped alcohol wipes that are truly portable, you can carry them in your purse for quick touch-ups throughout the day.

4. Take tissue papers with you. Facial tissues are the best substitute for astringents, as they help absorb excess oil in a pinch. Get those special oil-absorbing fabrics from a cosmetic counter that are very helpful in removing excess oil between cleanings.

5. Rinse your face with cold water – Simply splashing your face with cold water and patting it dry a couple of times a day is equivalent to applying chemicals to your skin. These cold water rinses remove excess oil from your face.

6. Say NO to moisturizers – Never go after those tempting ads that force you to buy facial moisturizers for oily skin. These are the fatal temptations that lead to disastrous skin. Instead, apply a sunscreen to your face before going out in the sun or going outside. And yes, don’t forget to check the labels of products specially designed for oily skin.

7. make your own scrub – Make a paste of a small amount of ground almonds with honey and apply it as a facial scrub to remove oils and dead skin cells. Now gently massage this paste on your face with a warm washcloth. Finally, rinse with cold water.

Another scrub of oatmeal mixed with aloe vera can be very beneficial for you. Rub gently on your skin and leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse well. And if you suffer from acne on your face, you should probably skip the scrub as it can aggravate your already irritated skin.

And if necessary, use only water-based makeup, especially spot correctors, rather than covering your entire face. In general, prefer powder or gel blushes and avoid cream foundations as much as possible.

10. Tie your hair properly – Keep hair away from the face, as oily hair accompanies oily skin.

11. Don’t touch your facial skin – Avoid touching your face during the day, as your hands release excessive oil and dirt.
