The best known among them is the Golden Gate Bridge, a famous San Francisco landmark that opened in 1937. Stretching from San Francisco to Marin County, this bridge is one of the longest suspension bridges with a 1.7 mile extension. You can cross the bridge on foot, by bicycle, go over it by car or bus, or sail under it by boat. San Francisco is famous for its hills. There are more than 50 hills located within the city. The highest of these hills is Mt. Davidson.

Chinatown in San Francisco is considered as the largest Chinese settlements outside of Asia. Chinatown is known for its colorful and fascinating dining and shopping experience. This is a great place to walk. Another beautiful destination in San Francisco is the Golden Gate Park that stretches from the center of the city to the Pacific Ocean. Some of the attractions in the park include the Japanese Tea Garden, the Conservatory of Flowers, and the Strybing Arboretum.

Other major attractions in San Francisco worth visiting include Buena Vista Park, Fisherman’s Wharf, Ocean Beach, Baker Beach, Financial District on the Market Street, Lombard Street, North Beach, Coit Tower, Palace of Fine Arts, Grace Cathedral, Bay Bridge, Angel Island, Alcatraz, Sausalito, Ferry Island, Union Square, Sutro Tower and De Young Museum. Apart from these, there are innumerable entertainment centers, shopping malls, restaurants, theaters, late-night bars, and clubs that can make an evening memorable.
