Affiliate Marketing Programs – Hydramedia Vs Modernclick Affiliate Networks

Our story begins like many of this nature, with a frustrated internet marketer trying to make a living from affiliate programs. Having several websites with decent content, our salesperson set out to find some deals to start making money.

As you can imagine, the first stop was Commission Junction. There were some deals to be found there, but the really juicy ones, the ones that could bring in dollars for dollars, were kept out of reach. The seller’s site was too new, or did not have enough traffic according to Alexa, or had no page rank, it was the message received over and over again. Sounds familiar? There was no time for this, what could be done?

The frustration was mounting. Search after search, application after application, it all turns up nothing good, nothing to really sink the business into. Of course, our novice internet marketer was at the stage of subscribing to every “guru” email list available. That’s where salvation came from, or so our marketer thought.

The email came from Keith Baxter via the AdSense is Dead campaign. If he doesn’t know, Keith is the owner of a relatively new cost-per-action affiliate network program. The promise was amazing. Here was an offer from a guy who was leading the “Click Flipping” revolution! It couldn’t happen.

So our dutiful little salesman headed off to sign up for this amazing new opportunity. The forms were basic and easy to follow. The process was quick and our marketer was approved. So the first step was complete, but now began the tedious and disappointing task of applying for the various affiliate offers available. And then it happened. Our marketer discovered the most amazing thing; the offers were automatically available! The site had been accepted once during the registration process and now the entire offer landscape was available at will.

Our salesperson was ecstatic. At Commission Junction, our persistent salesperson had sent 5 follow-up emails to a particular provider with a perfect match of offers. Unlucky. Now, with just a few mouse clicks, the vendor’s offers were displayed on our happy merchant’s site. Things were fine.

And then it happened. Always looking for a bigger and better deal, our salesperson stumbled upon Hydramedia. I say stumbled because this network was never mentioned in a “guru” mail, nor in the countless e-books that were purchased, nor in the forums. Through a random set of click events alone, our lucky seller found what would turn out to be gold.

Like Modernclick, the process turned out to be simple and fast. A few days passed and our salesperson was worried about being rejected yet again. Not the case this time. Our marketer enthusiastically followed the link in the acceptance email, still a bit apprehensive about facing another set of approval processes. Avidly the offers were scanned. Fortunately, the process was like Modernclick and the entire cornucopia of quality affiliate opportunities were available without trial. Then suddenly the love affair with Modernclick ended.

It only took a single click to abruptly break the blind infatuation with the Baxter program. There, in front of the wide, incredulous eyes of our marketer, a Modernclick product was being used. Although it was different. With Hydramedia there were 4 different versions of the offer. In addition to the two featured at Modernclick, there were two offering freebies to potential buyers. That alone could help sales. But that is not the worst.

To the dismay of our marketer, Hydramedia’s offerings paid more, much more. The offer with the freebies paid 40% more than the Modernclick offer without the freebies. And after investigating, our disillusioned internet marketer discovered that this was not an isolated case. Every time there was a bid on both affiliate networks, Hydramedia had a higher bid.

Fortunately, the devastation of a broken love relationship was short-lived. Our marketer found a new crush on Hydramedia and has been taking it to the bank ever since.

So after making a short story, you can see why Hydramedia is the best network compared to Modernclick. Should you stay away from Modernclick? I do not think. They still have offers available that you can only find on larger, more exclusive affiliate programs that aren’t on Hydramedia. My only advice is that if you find a deal on Modernclick, be sure to check out all of their other networks first, because if you can find it elsewhere, you’ll probably get a higher commission.
