10 tips to clean your bathroom

Mr. Clean never shows up with his “magic” to clean my bathroom for me, do you? If Scrubbing Bubbles won’t sweep up the scum in your bathroom on their own, it’s time to get out the cleaning supplies and make the core yourself.

I don’t know anyone who enjoy cleaning, let alone cleaning bathrooms. Anyway that it is a must if you want to live in a clean environment. But it doesn’t have to be a chore!

Here are some of my favorite tips to help make work easier and faster:

  1. Paper towels– Keep a roll of paper towels in your bathroom. You can even place a paper towel rack in the back of a closet or linen closet door (if your linen closet is in the bathroom).
  2. Pop-up wipes– Keep a container of pop-up disinfectant wipes under the sink. Clean the sink and counter after each use. Facilitates general cleaning.
  3. Plastic trays under the sink– These plastic trays make it easy to access items (pull trays forward to reach items at the back of the cabinet). They also protect the base of the cabinets from spills and leaks.
  4. Protective shower spray– Spray this on your shower area. Helps keep soap scum build-up to a minimum between cleanings.
  5. Squeegee– A good squeegee will help keep your shower doors clean and remove soap scum, mold, and water stains. Use after spraying with Shower Saver Spray. Hot steam is a good cleaner – use it and clean it while in the shower!
  6. Glass Cleaner– Keep an extra bottle of glass cleaner under the sink. You won’t have to carry cleaning supplies all over the house.
  7. Scrubber sponge– Keep an all-purpose scrubbing sponge in each bathroom under the sink. It’s easy to clean on the go. Store the damp sponge in an old plastic cup to dry between uses.
  8. Do not use– Disinfectant or soap scum / mold cleaner on mirrors.
  9. N’oubliez pas– To clean door knobs, switch plates, cabinet knobs and toilet handle.
  10. Bleach pen– Keep a bleach pen and an old toothbrush handy for stains and sealant spills.
