Softball Bat Review

This is a review of a 26 oz Resmondo “World Series Edition (WSE)” Titan # 759/800.

The criteria used in this review will be based on 8 categories; price, pop, distance, feel, sound, durability, look, and sweet spot. This bat was new in a wrap and was used in an indoor training facility due to the cold weather. I will start the review with the only quantitative category and that is the price. When it comes to price, I have no problem paying more for a device if it is going to outperform other lower priced ones. The Ressy WSE retails for a fairly expensive $ 299 for an average gamer. Got the one being reviewed for $ 250 after buying ten of them from other guys in the US So a $ 50 rebate is a good deal as they say a penny saved is a penny earned.

When it comes to looks, I could only think of one word when I took this stick out of the box and it was BEAUTIFUL. From the faded black to gray grip, to the white end cap and matte black finish, the WSE provides a unique combination of intimidation and sexiness. Not sure if I should hang it on the wall and admire it or see how this bad boy really performed, I chose the latter. From the first hit, I was amazed at how hot this stick was.

When it comes to sound, the first cut sounded like a shotgun blast, the sound of this bat fresh out of the wrapper is unmatched by anything you’ve heard before. During the session I put about 100 swings on the bat and the snap of the ball off the bat got louder and more forceful, it was music to my ears. I think pop and distance go hand in hand so I’ll put them together and since I was hitting indoors, I can’t really get a feel for distance. The pop on the WSE is amazing from swing one and just keeps getting better and better. The ground and inline boosters were missiles that went out of the box with incredible muzzle velocities and the ones that I actually got, I’d say would easily leave a 300 foot field. I wish I had been out in the open to get real distance, but I’d honestly say a smasher would have no problem dropping 350 foot bombs consistently.

The sweet spot on the WSE is HUGEEEEEE covering the entire barrel of the bat and when you hit it the ball just bounces off with a trampoline effect. If you can’t get this thing right, choose another sport. The final one-ounce load on the WSE makes the feel of this bat incredible and it swings through the zone effortlessly. The amount of speed you can get into your swing with the WSE is insane, bombs away. The only thing that worries me about this bat is its durability. There have been many cases where people say their WSEs have broken with less than 500 changes. After 100 swings, my WSE has a little sand rattle, which is normal for Worth bats and has no straps, which is probably due to the matte finish. Only time will tell how mine will hold up, but if it lasts for 800 or more changes, I’ll be delighted.

Overall, I am very impressed with the WSE and proud to say that I have one. I’d almost give it a 10 across the board. If price isn’t an issue, go out there and get this bat, you’re at a serious disadvantage if you don’t have one!
