Why Women Don’t Commit – Dating Advice For Men

Women are afraid of committing to anyone other than themselves and their best friends. From the experiences of other women, they may have believed that it means compromising herself for her man’s commitment and believe that there are no eligible men anymore.

From the men’s point of view, the eligible women are many, but their high judgment leaves them single.

Today, women have strong careers and wide social circles. These have become part of our lives. Getting married can threaten this lifestyle as they become committed to a husband and family. Here, marriage is seen as a role change; from a career woman with a large circle of acquaintances to a boring housewife. Hence the fear of commitment. Many women would rather have rewarding lives with a great career. Many professional women will not compromise their work for a relationship.

With the change of social status, things become more complicated. Men who were the breadwinners in the family, and rightly so, may commit to taking care of the family rather than going out and earning money. The man is no longer the breadwinner of the family; he may as well stay home to take care of things.

The sophisticated new woman often sees a committed relationship as a sacrifice; give up a fun and exciting race for safety. Therefore, now they are the ones who “buy” the men. Instead of having a man come into your life, you can have a man supplement your life. For such women, the man’s ability probably doesn’t matter much. The statements do not suggest any form of compromise or sacrifice; menu is just a plugin, extra or whatever it’s called.

The trend is that more and more women are now more dominant in many fields: financial, emotional, corporate, relational. Perhaps so much so that men are rapidly losing ground. Before, it was the men who ruled. Today, it is not certain who makes the decisions. Perhaps now, the woman feels that she doesn’t have to commit, and therefore commit more.
