Once Slap Bracelets Were Banned From School

I can still remember the day; Slap bracelets were banned from our school. It was very pathetic and I thought I was going to lose one of my most precious things, which was part of my fashion credentials. I made my identity as “fashionable rough and tough boy reputation” at school with a different style. Tears began to fall like raindrops on my heart after hearing the news. I loved wearing five slap bracelets at once, from wrist to elbow, like the zebra striped, the cheetah print, the wild picture, the black and white striped, the solid red, the leopard spots etc I bought them all at different stores with my mom and grandpa. I really liked bracelets and had a good collection of them. Some of my classmates were jealous and that was another pleasure for me.

Slap bracelets were banned for misuse, teens and tweens began using them as wrist weapons to defend themselves by causing eye and skull injuries in elementary schools. On top of that, the metal strip inside the fabric that ripped over the wrists was often exposed and caused injury. The craze for wearing the Slap bracelet, also known as a snap bracelet, started in the late 1980s. In the 1990s when it was banned I was a teenager. When my parents received the notice from the school and warned me to wear the bracelets at school, it was very difficult to accept. However, I thought my parents would let me wear them after school. Unfortunately, they disagreed after spreading the news of the death of two children who caused a slap on the bracelet. It seemed that all my pleasures were taken away in a moment.

However, now I can see that it was a good decision by the school committees and parents. And as a result, companies that manufacture bracelets begin to compete by presenting novelties such as bracelets that are more modern, more attractive, reasonably priced and obviously harmless to all people of different ages.

Some fads and styles don’t last long. Some are treated as old fads and glossed over, some are refreshed with new dimensions, and some fads are repeated as the same after a couple of years. Surprisingly, the slap bracelet ruled the world from the late 1980s until now. From children to old; everyone likes to wear and give to others as a token of love. Nowadays, the Slap bracelet is worn as an awareness band such as diabetes day, breast cancer awareness; helps prevent awareness, heart disease awareness, etc. Also, some companies use it as a corporate identity for employees. In this era of globalization, everyone is thinking of presenting their products or thoughts with versatile applications and slap bracelets are not far behind.
