Montego Bay, often known as Mobay by the locals, is the second largest city in Jamaica. The city has its own airport so tourists can fly directly into the city through the Sanger International Airport. The airport is minutes from the luxurious Mobay hotels and resorts and almost all of these resorts will transport guests from the airport to their accommodation.

Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world can be found in this beautiful city. Doctor’s Cave Beach, famous for its glorious white sands and blue shoreline, is a must-visit spot on your Montego Bay vacation. Around five miles long, there are many restaurants and bars along the shoreline. Doctor’s Cave Beach is also ideal if you are a fan of water sports as the water is conducive to these sports.

Cornwall Beach, another perfect beach in Mobay, is also suitable for lounging and water sports due to the placid waters. If white water rafting is your thing, then you should visit the town of Martha Brae and enjoy the picturesque location while cruising along the shores.

If finding an affordable place to stay while in Montego Bay is a concern, you should know that there are plenty of beachfront hotels and all-inclusive resorts with prices to suit any budget. All-inclusive resorts may seem expensive at first glance, but many of them include tours, activities, meals, and transportation in their packages, so the final cost is sometimes quite affordable.

To experience a bit of island history, you can stay at Rose Hall, which happens to be the most popular Great House on Mobay. In the past, Rose Hall served as a sugar plantation and the owners have managed to maintain the old world charm while offering modern conveniences.

Bird watchers can experience the delight of seeing some of the rarest and most beautiful birds in the world by visiting Rocklands Feeding Station. Located in the southern part of Mobay, Rocklands is home to rare species such as the Doctor Bird, the national bird of Jamaica, the mango and orange hummingbird. It is also one of the few places where visitors can interact with birds.

If adventure is your thing, then you cannot leave the island without visiting the Ipswich Caves, located in the dense mountainous forests of this part of Jamaica. All these caves are carved out of limestone and the view there is absolutely worth the hike through the forest, which in itself is an adventure in itself.

From laying on the beach to water sports to a jungle adventure in the woods, your Montego Bay vacation is definitely a vacation to remember.
