P90X Workout Equipment: What Do You Really Need To Do The P90X Workout?

What is the required P90X training equipment? Here’s some background information.

Tony Horton, the creator of the Beach Body P90X exercise program, has put together 12 different workouts that can be easily performed at home with just a few pieces of equipment. You don’t need an expensive Bowflex, Total Gym, or Bio Force TNT that costs thousands of dollars. The P90X can help you achieve your fitness or bodybuilding goals.

These 12 videos take you through a 12 week or 90 day program to get a lean, defined body. Believe it or not, it works!

All you need to get a great workout is a P90X workout rig.

This is what you will need:

* A set of good quality resistance bands.

* Chin bar

* Push up supports or a perfect flex

Instead of resistance bands, you can buy a set of dumbbells. Unfortunately, you will have to buy multiple sets unless you want to change the plates. You can buy Bowflex Select Tech dumbbells, but they aren’t cheap!

The Bowflex SelectTech 552 dumbbells, for example, offer resistance from 5 pounds to 52.5 pounds, and will cost you $ 399. On the other hand, a set of Bodylastics Terrel Owens resistance bands offer 5 to 249 pounds of resistance. For less than $ 100 and has a lifetime warranty against defects.

Personally, I prefer resistance bands, not only because of the lower price, but because they are portable, adaptable, and more versatile than the dumbbell set. If you are looking for a good set of resistance bands. I would recommend Bodylastics Home Gym or The Golds Gym Resistance Bands. Of the two, Bodylastics offers more options.

In regards to a pull-up bar. There are a few options here, if you are looking for a low cost. You can use resistance bands to do pull-downs, instead of chin-ups or pull-ups. Or you can buy a simple chin-up bar on entry for around $ 20, and it will work just as well as the $ 50 P90X chin-up bar.

When it comes to push-ups, do you really need a push-up base or a perfect push-up? The answer is both, yes and no. Both of these items will reduce the stress on your wrists and allow you to go deeper into your push-ups, on the other hand, you can do push-ups between two chairs and get the same results. Regardless of which you decide, push-up stands or the perfect push-ups, both are inexpensive and cost around $ 30 for each set.

That is practically the “required” P90X training equipmentYou may also consider a mat to do some of the abdominal exercises, but it is not essential.
